Bryan Emmerich: Yeah, especially he sent "Dark Amethyst" to kill us all.

Mystica: Yeah, but he also told us they he'll summon his minions to invade our world.

Bryan Emmerich: Good god... It seems that we have no choice but to having war against them.

Mystica: Yeah, but before you came back, i noticed a novel book called "Blade Runner 2049".

Bryan Emmerich: Wait, is this a reboot or a sequel of a cult classic sci-fi movie called "Blade Runner"?

Mystica: Actually, its a sequel from long years after the first one.

Bryan Emmerich: Ah ok, i guess il take a look before giving honest thought of it. I mean, lets hope it'll be better than the first one. *opens the book that it magically shows a full movie*

*Several hours later*

Bryan Emmerich: Uhhh.... Yeah...

*Review starts*

Greeting everyone, my name is Bryan Emmerich and welcome back to movie review.

In 1982, there's a Sci-fi movie called "Blade Runner", a movie starring Harrison Ford who played as police officer nicknamed "Blade Runner" to finding those "bioengineered beings" called "Replicant" and "Retire". When this movie came out, it had a disappointed review for questionable narrating, a forgettable plot and a slow pace. Despite of negative review, the film was considered to be a cult classic and "Best Sci-fi film of all time".

After more than 30 years, we unexpectedly notice that there's a sequel from a cult Sci-fi film, which maybe... it can do better?

"Blade Runner 2049" is a 2017 Neo-noir Sci-Fi film that was directed by Denis Villeneuve, produced by Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson and written by Hampton Fancher.

This is a sequel film that we never expect after more than 30 years like any other older films. Even though its kinda disappointed we never have Ridley Scott coming back for this sequel, since he was focused for the return of Alien franchise, like "Alien Covenant", but it had a horrible recemption when it came out in May. Despite that, its probably the first time i watched a movie that was directed by Denis Villeneuve, who did a great film like Arrival in 2016. Not only that, but also the second film for the return of Harrison Ford.

So, with all that said, will this movie holds up then the first one, or is this film still have a problem of a slow pace?

Lets find out.

The Story
With a name suggest, it takes place in 2049, which is coincidentally 30 years after the first film. We meet a new police officer Blade Runner named "K" where his mission is to hunt down those rogues old model replicants for illegal reasons. Though he's not the only one in his life, he's with an A.I. friend named "Joi". However, he found a picture of old female replicant who died after the birth of a lost kid. Its up to K to retiring the evidence of a child by his superior "Joshi", due to the dangerous war between humans and Replicants.

Now, having a story about finding a missing kid is rather a cliche concept, but at least it was a bit creative to figure out who's a mysterious son. There's a subplot where we have a villain named "Niander Wallace" who's planning to stealing a skeleton that represents Rachael's in order to track down a mysterious kid that he hired his replicant enforcer named "Luv", which it was a not bad villain's plan. But, most of the plots are ended up ignored and probably slow, since we spend an hours to see the characters drinking and smoking, this is most annoying filler of all cliche movies. I mean, there's no reason to show our main hero taking cigarette and booze for nothing, its just nothing but a waste of time, even since this movie takes about nearly 3 hours.

Though the story is kinda interesting, but good lord, they could've make less time then have a drink. I mean, i'd rather bringing Budweiser while watching a big screen.

The production
Despite the flaws of the story, but unlike the first film that it looks nice but almost all dark, this movie's production looks pretty damn cool. The way how it looks, the concepts of the town and other locations is amazing, its almost like we're going back in the old place, despite this film was made after more than 30 years. The hologram effect is also cool and also tricky, even though we've seen plenty of hot ladies in hologram. But the effect of Joi's hologram is probably a new level, since she moves inside of a character's body without get distracted of touching (Well, almost). The gun design looks nice and the flying cars are also great in a futuristic design, even though it has a product placement like Peugeot, i don't know why, but who knows.

The production of this movie is fantastic for the concepts of futuristic and a locations.

The characters
Its been a change that we have a new characters.

But first, we have Rick Deckard, who's played by of course, Harrison Ford. Which we expect that he could appear more in the movie since he's a badass character. But sadly, he didn't make more appearance which is pretty disappointed until later on for where he was. Like we're been waiting for like less than 2 hours, despite in the trailer we already see him which again, it didn't happen until later on. I mean, its "Terminator Genisys" all over again for you know, we have a character shown in the trailer, but never happen until a long later on. I know it was an idea from the writer for the return, but come on...

Despite of Rick, we introduce our main hero simply name "K" (played by Ryan Gosling). He's rather good character, he's more like a character who got disturbed and traumatized from the past. Though he's rather an above average character, but not as good than Rick Deckard. Don't give me wrong, Ryan did a nice work of his role, but he could've done better than that.

Next, we have Joi (played by Ana de Armas). Despite of fascinating hologram effect of her, she's typical girl who loves our main hero. Though she's rather closer to him for a help or even going inside of other character for a sex (why?). Though i never heard of Ana, but she looks gorgeous and good acting.

For the villain we have Niander Wallace (played by Jared Leto. Aka The Joker from "Suicide Squad"). He's another ok character, he's portrayed as a blind intelligent villain in order to finding Rachael. But of course, he's another character who could've give more appearance in the movie.

And finally there's Wallace's Replicant enforcer named Luv (played by Sylvia Hoeks ). Though she's another beautiful woman, but she's also pretty badass for her fighting skills and probably a cold persona. I mean, she should've been a main villain than Wallace, but again, she's an enforcer to finding the evidence.

There few other characters like Joshi (played by Robin Wright), Dr. Ana Stelline (played by Carla Juri) and Gaff (played by Edward James Olmos) who's another character who's returned after the first movie.

Though the character is pretty hard to tell which one who's likable for acting or persona. Because of most of then didn't make more appearance or other times disappeared.

And now its time for my conclusion.
Overall, "Blade Runner 2049" is a rather an above average movie. The story is good and kinda creative, the acting is nice and the production is so damn good for a sci-fi film. But the film couldn't survive like the first movie for how slow and long this movie is and some of the characters wasn't that good. Though K was interesting, but not as better than Rick Deckard. And not to mention, having Rick Deckard in the promotional trailer and poster is just over-advertising that he didn't show up in the movie. No wonder why the failed the box-office performance when it came out. Though some people considered it a great a movie, but i probably disagree, its only my opinion of this sequel. so if you're like me, just stick to the first one, we know it was considered classic.

So for that, il rate this movie 6.5/10. It may not considered it as a great comeback, but again, its just my opinion when i watched it.

Well, im done for my review. If you like to give your opinion or request, let me know at the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading, until next time.

*Review ends*

Mystica: Mmm... The movie didn't do well to make moneys for promotions.

Bryan Emmerich: Yup. Even though i don't know how the book shows a movie.

Mystica: Me either.

*But the noise comes, where Bryan and Mystica go outside to look around, it turned out it was a flying object of a dark gray hand comes down from the sky with transporters and flying fighters coming down for a rampage on the city*

Bryan Emmerich: Oh no...! They're literally coming down for invasion!!

Mystica: Yeah, we better stop them as possible.

Bryan Emmerich: *rises his wings and flies up along with Mystica to going to the city*

To be continued...

Movie Review: My Little Pony: The Movie

DISCLAIMER: This review has nothing to do with a storyline movie review of 2017. Readers discretion is advised.

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to movie review.

Back in 2011, i first saw the show called "My Little Pony: Friendship is magic" and i loved it. It become worldwide popular for not just for girls, but in the social media as well, with many enjoyed the show so much that they referred as "Bronies" and "Pegasisters". We like to talking about the characters, the backgrounds, stories and lore of the show since its been over seven years. As time goes, it went change that we still like it, but others (like myself) are probably moving on to other show that we like "Steven Universe".

When the show was popular, they decided to making their movies like "Equestria Girl", which when we saw, it was rather "so and so". While the laters went to redemption to "meh". However in 2012, they announced they're gonna make a movie with a main focus of ponies in the big screen, which the bronies and pegasisters went excitement for a potential until it came out this year.

"My little Pony: The Movie" is a 2017 animated movie that was based on the show "My Little Pony: Friendship and Magic". It was directed by Jayson Thiesson, produced by Brian Goldner and written by Megan McCarthy. This is one film when i first heard of it, i was anticipated to see, but when i grew up that i was moved on, i saw how the movie looks like the trailer, i had a mixed feeling, but still curious of this movie.

So, with all that said, will this movie holds up to rising even more fanbase of the franchise, or is this film is probably feel like it should've been on Netflix or something?

Well, lets find out.

The Story
It begins where Twilight Sparkle and her friends are participating a "Friendship Festival" in Canterlot, because of their special guest named "Songbird Serenade". However, their preparation is interrupted by from the storm, that happens to the army of "Storm King", sent by his commander named "Tempest Shadow" and her silly assistant named "Grubber". Tempest and her minions invade Equestria to taking over the land and petrify three princesses, Celestia, Luna and Cadance. Its up to Twilight Sparkle and her magical friends to find the way to save their land.

I gotta say, its an interesting story, but it feels rather too simple. Which it sorta like it was an idea from a rejected story concept of the show, but borrowed to the big screen, but again, it was not bad. There's a subplot where Twilight and her friends meets the other characters who helping them like "Capper" and "Captain Celaeno", which is rather nice, even though their big deal to find the way to fix is, according to Princess Luna, is to find Queen Hippogriff. But it was rather a bit quick paste for the story, since this is 99 minute film. As for the jokes, it was 50 50, with some jokes that i did chuckle, but others that i asked a lot of questions.

The story itself was good, even though its pretty obvious for the elements of friendship. Since this is a main focus like in the show.

The Animation
Unlike in the show that it was done in digital 2D animation, which i still like the design, since again, i was moved on. In this movie, it sorta still using a 2D digital animation, but it also uses a 3D environment background. The environment looks pretty cool for the design like Canterlot and location, but sometimes the quality looks like it was something straight out of video game graphic. I know this is a big budget film than the show's budget. Despite the flaws, the character designs are the most colorful appearance in the film, even though they use the same design from the show, but advanced for the film. Some other designs like Tempest's minions, Capper, Captain Celaeno's crew and seapony looks pretty cool and creative, since this is a fairy-tale movie based on the show, which it was based on the toyline. They did a great job for the concepts. As for the song,s it was so and so, some of the songs has a good beat to listen to and some are probably forgettable, whether its the lyric.

The animations looks bright and colorful, though the effect of 3D environment looks cheap and some of the songs are mixed bag.

The characters
At first, im sure some of you are probably know of our main heroes.

Twilight Sparkle (voiced by my favorite voice actress, Tara Strong) is a magical Alicorn for a princess of friendship to saving Equestria for her friends and her intelligent. And probably my favorite character of the franchise. Pinkie Pie (voiced by Andrea Libman) is a cheerful party pony for fun and laugh, Applejack (voiced by Ashleigh Ball) is an honest farmer pony of "Sweet Apple Acres", Rainbow Dash (also voiced by Ashleigh Ball) is an energetic Pegasus for adventurous and loyal, Rarity (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain) is a generous unicorn with fashion design and Fluttershy (also voiced by Andrea Libman) is a kind and timid Pegasus who take a good care of animals. They're known as the "6 Mane", since they're the focus if you've seen the show.

So, what about the characters in the movie?

For the villain, we have Storm King (voiced by Liev Schreiber), he's a king of dark weather that his evil mission is to taking over Equestria for controlling the day and the night. The reason for that, its all because he hates...   Colorful and cute. Yeah, i find him to be too silly as a villain, i mean where's Discord if you need him to facing at Storm King?

As for his commander Tempest Shadow (voiced by Emily Blunt), she's a broken unicorn from the past that she joined Storm King. I gotta say, i think she's a likable villain for how evil, threatening, badass and cold she really is. I mean, she should've been a main villain than King storm, then again, she's his commander. Though i can say that Emily Blunt did an interesting work of her role.

and the final one is Grubber (voiced by Michael Peña, the same guy who played as Kai from "The Lego Ninjago Movie), who's a wisecracking hungry hedgehog, who's a typical comical villain, but probably forgettable in my opinion.

Aside the villain, we have Capper (voiced by Taye Diggs), who's an anthropomorphic cat who's cunning, good heart, as a con artist. Even though i though he's portray as a mysterious character who's helping our main hero to find the path, but then, thats just a movie. I find him to be pretty cool and nice for our main hero, as an anthro cat, he maybe my favorite one.

Then we have Captain Celaeno (voiced by Zoe Saldana), who's an anthro parrot jaded air pirate for dealing against Storm King after she and her crew are being manipulated by Storm King for delivery. I find her to be an interesting character, even though she's probably a small appearance in the movie. I mean i wouldn't expect if she accidentally deliver her booty (as in her treasure after their adventure in the sky.).

And finally there's Queen Hippogriff named Queen Novo (voiced by Uzo Aduba), who's a Hippogriff/Seapony who ruled in the place called Mount Aris. Despite she's loving, but she's probably considered to be strict and stern, when it comes to her magic pearl. Though she looks beautiful, but she's probably one character who has a short appearance. (Sad to say.)

As for Novo's daughter named "Princess Skystar" (voiced by Kristin Chenoweth), though also small apearance, but extra more, but i find her to be a likable seapony, she's rather a fun one.

They're few other characters, like three princesses, Celestia (voiced by Nicole Oliver), Luna (also voiced by Tabitha St. Germain) and Cadance (voiced by Britt McKillip), even though they're also have a small appearance. But probably my favorite one of special appearance is Songbird Serenade, she was voiced by none other than Sia, i like her design, which is all because it was based on Sia's appearance (like where she likes to cover her eyes with her hairstyle), she did a nice work of voice acting and she has her song called "Rainbow" and i gotta say, it has a good beat of the song.

The characters are quiet interesting to see like our six mane heroes, while some are good and others are fall flat.

And now for my final opinion of the film.
Overall, "My Little Pony: The Movie" is rather an above average movie, since im an ex-brony. With the story is ok, the animation looks bright, colorful and kinda cheap, the songs are mixed bag (Except Rainbow, its a good one), the characters are great to shown and some others didn't work. Like i said, this movie would've been better to be on Netflix, even though its for a theatrical movie that the fans like to see in their dreams. Even though i noticed the movie had a controversy that most of critics gave a mixed bag opinion, which many bronies and pegasisters are not very pleased for their opinion. This is like Suicide Squad all over which whenever the critics didn't like the movie, the fans are attacking them to making a movie look good. I mean there's no reason to cannot take the criticisms, they can critique whatever whenever they want, i mean its only their opinion. If you're one of the fan who like to defending movie that its good, its just comes off as butthurt fanboy action. I mean, stop being so sensitive for anyone takl about the movie, if its gonna bad or disappointed. Anyway, even though its not the worst movie based on cartoons, but they're few out there. Its only for Bronies and Pegasisters, but if you're like me, just stick to the show version or others.

Oh! Before my final rating, before the movie, there's a short film that was based on the cartoon web series called "Hanazuki: Full of Treasures", i gotta say, i find it to be pretty cute and colorful. Even though its only for girls, but to be fair, this is the cutest and fun short film i've ever seen. The animation looks colorful and cute, even though its a bit cheap. But hey, looks fun and cute. Il give it 8/10.

So, for my final rating, il give this movie 6/10. Again, its not the worst adaptation, but you can watch it if you love MLP show.

So this ends of my movie review, if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let me know at the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading, and im Anthony, signing out.

Movie Review: The Lego Ninjago Movie

*In a mysterious hideout*

*meanwhile, at Team Blast's house*

Philip "Smasher" Caiden: So, you had a phone call, where our friend Bryan Emmerich who's facing against a mysterious figure when he dressed up as Spider-man? Talk about silly plan for that.

Ryan Blackonne: But he was talking about "Spider-man Homecoming", which this movie was actually succeed.

Smasher: Ah ok.

Eric Blakron: Not to mention, me and my sister Marian been transported in some kind of hideout that we transformed into "Power Rangers" and it was intense.

Marian Blakron: Yeah, especially me in Pink Ranger fits in that i like! ^^

Ryan Blackonne: Hm, interesting. And btw, there's a movie called "The Lego Ninjago Movie", which its not based on media cultures, it was based on Lego franchise, which is about ninjas.

Smasher: Cool, ninjas are badass and pretty quick. So, maybe we can watch it?

Ryan: Sure, i mean it had a TV show. But, it can't be that bad right?

*several hours later*

Ryan Blackonne: Um...  Im not sure its a good one, right?

Smasher: Yeah.

Eric Blakron: Disappointed.

Marian Blakron: Agree.

Ryan Blackonne: Aw well, i guess il talking about it.

*review started*

Hello everyone, i am Ryan Blackonne, and this is a movie review.

From the early 2017, we had a second Lego movie called "The Lego Batman movie" and it was quiet good.

So, they decided to make another Lego movie, this time, it was based on Lego's franchise called Ninjago. Its series where the ninjas with elemental power to facing against the evil force, and it became favorite for kids to having a cartoon and even a film that what we have.

"The Lego Ninjago Movie" is a 2017 animated movie that was directed by Charlie Bean, Paul Fisher, Bob Logan, produced by Phil Lord (and) Christopher Miller (the famous duos since "The Lego movie") and Dan Line and written by... *looks at the list in the wiki* Wow... Thats a lot of writers of screenplay and story...!

This is one of the film that everyone was curious that they made a movie based on the toy company's franchise that we never heard of, or maybe its because they wanted to make another movie to be better after "The Lego Batman Movie".

So, with all that explained (kinda), will this movie will holds up for the franchise, or is this film that will easily be overshadowed by Batman?

Lets find out about it.

The Story
It begins in the old relic shop from a kid who visited here, not before he meets an owner named "Mr. Liu". Which he was telling a legend about the "Ninjago". In the legend story, the ninja heroes dubbed "Ninjago" is the savior of the city with giant robots against Lord Garmadon. One green ninja's secret identity named Lloyd who's ironically a son of Lord Garmadon, which he difficult life, since everyone is not appreciated from his evil father. But one day, Lloyd and his ninja friends surprised for the return of Sensei Wu. Wu tells them stop against Lord Garmadon with the "Ultimate Weapon", but it was a laser light that Lloyd uses it, which cause a big incident, which the laser light itself is summoning a big real life cat. Devastated for the incident, Lloyd revealed that he's a green ninja and walked away from his evil father for his meltdown. Its up to Lloyd and his partners to find a second one called "The Ultimate, Ultimate Weapon" to save the city.

Even though its just a Lego movie for a strange story, but this one is probably the weakest. Which the main plot is probably wasted, due to the fact it focused to much about a father and son relationship. As if Lord Garmadon was desperate to telling about to his son Lloyd. I mean come on, we already got "The Lego Batman Movie" where it tells that Batman want to focus on his own, since his parents was killed from a gunman, not until he's sorta like a father to Robin and wife of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. But in Ninjago movie, it feels like its all over the place for a filler. They could've take a bit of a time to mainly focus about The Ultimate Weapon 2.0.

The story itself is pretty forgettable with a mainly focus about an evil father and good son, which its almost like it was borrowed from Star Wars "Return of Jedi". Though the first act is like a fun start, while the rest got bored pretty easily.

The Animation
What can we say about it? They did a great job for the animation of the Lego. With stop-motion like and tricky animation for the limbs of Lego figure. The facial animation was obviously done with 2D, but they did a nice work, especially with a tears of Lord Garmadon. The background and design looks pretty cool that its almost like what if Lego make a big budget product for kids, it will be like crazy.
While other animation than Lego like water and other stuff was also nicely work to make it a bit realistic. But the animation of a cat seems to be a bit unrealistic, although it looks cute and somewhat playful, but the design looks slightly cartoony and the movement is maybe would've done better if they learn how any cats behave.

The animation itself is pretty good, since we saw two previous Lego movies.

The Characters
Its not easy to tell which characters are likable, cause its gonna be a complicated story.

First we have Lloyd Garmadon (voiced by Dave Franco), who's a leader of "Secret Ninja Force" and a son of Lord Goarmadon. He was nice and probably a big loser for the citizens due of his father and his lack of meaning of his color green. Which we expect he would've be nice a respectful to everyone, but no, he's basically a loser leader of the Ninja. Though Dave did an ok job for his voice acting, but the personality of him and relationship are rather poor, which we really wish if he could fight against his evil father.

As for the rest of his ninjas, they're not bad, even though they have a typical personalities, like Kai (voiced by Michael Peña)  is a hothead red ninja, Jay (voiced by Kumail Nanjiani)  is a calm and cautious blue ninja, Nya (voiced by Abbi Jacobson) is a strong silver ninja (which maybe she's an interesting one?), Zane (voiced by Zach Woods) is a robotic white ninja and Cole (voiced by Fred Armisen) is a laid-back and music loving black ninja.

Then for the so-called "Villain", named Lord Garmadon (voiced by Justin Theroux), he's an evil ninja who lives in a volcano to taking over the city of Ninjago. Which it would've been interesting. But the big problem is that he's way to connective to his son Lloyd (aka "Laloyd" as he liked to pronounced him, which is kinda funny, but true.) for the past, which its just a waste of portrayal what he supposed to be than the original franchise. But sorry, he's easily the most forgettable villain in the movie. But his appearance looks pretty cool and kinda creepy though.

But the one character who's maybe likable is Master Wu (voiced by Jackie Chan), who's not only a master of The Secret Ninja Force, but a nephew of Lloyd. Though he's wisecracking, but he has a plot development about the ninjas for powers and death. Though he may have some problem, but Jackie Chan's role of Wu is probably a nice choice.

They're afew other characters out there, like Lloyd's mother name, who's rather....   Well, a mother. And the rest is not much else.

The characters in the movie are not as likable to watch, since Lord Garmadon way too conective to Lloyd for development. But except for Master Wu, he's rather interesting, thanks to Jackie Chan.

And now for the conclusion of the film.
Overall, "The Lego Ninjago Movie" isn't a good movie, i mean it would've been ok to releasing it on Netflix. With complicated stories, forgettable characters and the lore of Ninjago franchise feels like non-exist, even though its only a lore of the world of "Lego movies". Though the animations looks great and the jokes may or may not work to laugh. If you're a fan of Lego or Ninja, maybe this one is for you. Cause if not, i don't recommend to watch it.

Il give it 4/10.

Well, thats all for the review. If you guys have your honest opinion or even request of review, let me know at the comment.

Thanks for reading, Blackonne out.

*review ends*

Eric Blakron: That was interesting to explaining about it.

Smasher: Yeah, im--

News reporter (on TV): We're here to report that there's a figure who's wearing a purple outfit with a purple energy sword who's ridiculously strong that he killed all the innocent people...

Marian Blakron: Oh my gosh...

Blackonne: Holy hell...

Smasher: I guess we better stop that mysterious man wearing a mask.

Eric Blakron: Yeah, we better teaming up to--

*The TV around the world was hijacked to reveal a mysterious figure with a mask*

???: Greetings, humanity...

Eric Blakron: What the...?!

???: My name is Obsidian...  Lord of "The Shattering Gems"...    I come from other world...   To taking over the world... To extinct the humanity...   With not only my soldiers...  But also my important Apprentice named "Dark Amethyst"...

Smasher: Ok... This is getting to far for that! But how the heck did he--

Obsidian: We captured one man who's going to be our chosen one...   Despite that he's a human being, but we changed his life as a hybrid and making him much stronger than any gems or humans...

Marian Blakron: *starts to feel nervous* Oh no...

Obsidian: And now... All you humans will prepare to die with our power and your Earth, will be mine... *evil laughs*

Eric Blakron: That Bastard!!

Ryan Blackonne: That guy named "Dark Amethyst" is gonna be a lot complicated for his speed and probably nearly indestructible.

Smasher: But, what are we gonna do now?!

Eric Blakron: I don't know...

To be Continued...

Movie review: The Incredibles

DISCLAIMER: This review has nothing to do with a storyline movie review of 2017. Readers discretion is advised.

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to my review.

As time goes, Pixar became a masterpiece of animation company for a computer graphic movie, from Toy Story 1 and 2, to Finding Nemo.

Which in 2004, animation companies are probably behind of Pixar for a difficult challenge. Dreamworks is doing above average with good films like Shrek 2 and flop one like Sinbad. And for Disney, its a long story, because they're trying pretty hard for their success, but didn't work out. Even though it was a time that there's a drama between Disney and Pixar for a near separation from expired contract.

Despite the drama, there's a film that it was a success, but without John Lasseter or other people behind of Pixar, but this time, with a man behind "The Iron Giant".

The Incredibles is a 2004 animated superhero Pixar films that was written and directed by Brad Bird and produced by John Walker.

This is the film that it came out five years after "The Iron Giant", which Brad Bird wrote and directed his film, since it was based on the book "The Iron Man" (Yeah, i guess it explained why he changed the name to avoid a confusion from Marvel's comic.), but ended up with a big flop from the lack marketing campaign, that it ended up with a blame.

That is until John Lasseter came in to ask him three times to come with Pixar for a movie, Brad accepted it and join in with his project for his redemption.

So, with all that said, will this movie will be "super success", or maybe "Super Flop"?

Well, lets find out.

The story
It takes place in vintage time of 50's or 60's. Where the people with powers known as "Supers" are a crime-fighters in the city, including Mr. Incredible (aka Bob Parr), ElasticGirl (aka Helen Parr), Frozone (aka Lucius Best), etc. However, things start to going down that after Mr. Incredible save a man who attempted to committing suicide and stop the train from explosion rail, it results a lawsuits and a boycott towards "Supers" for damaging the civilians. After 15 years, the "Supers" remain obscure for retirement or probably death. Bob Parr married Helen to have a children, Dash, Violet and Jack-Jack. However, he was in business as a white-collar job at an insurance agency, but didn't work out for his temper from his boss, causing it to losing his business. Later on, he noticed a computer message from a mysterious lady named "Mirage" that he was chosen to travel to the island called "Nomanisan" to dealing from a tripod robot called "Omnicdroid". But it was revealed to be an evil plan from a former fanboy named Syndrome (aka Buddy Pine) that he wants Mr. Incredible for his side. Helen was devastated from her husband's capture, she needs to go to the island (along with Dash and Violet unexpectedly) to not only save Bob, but also stop Syndrome's plan of taking over the city.

I find the story itself is pretty cool and probably understandable, since we like to be "Supers" to saving everyone from the beginning, but the people in the city will may or may not be pleased us, with suing in the court or even get banned from the city or in country for risking the damage for the monuments or even their lives. But coming back from more than ten years retirement will be an awkward story for our age or even overweight.
However, that idea that Brad Bird came up from his difficulty life of his career and family from the 90's, since he was struggled with his bombed film, which its also understandable, despite his film was a cult favorite.
There's a subplot where Bob Parr meets a costume designer Edna Mode (aka Mrs. "No cape!".) for the change of supersuit and explaining that having a cape is a risking-life from previous heroes who's either injured or dead. Which although i find it funny, but probably agree, because having a cape is a like a death trap for "out-of-nowhere" obstacles or strangles. Despite that, there's also scene with a reunion of Helen and Edna that she made a costume for not only Mrs. Parr, but also her kids because their powers Edna noticed the truth from Helen.
Ad for the gags in the movie, i find some moments are pretty funny (despite of risking from superpowers.), like the scene where Bob lost his temper from his crappy car or probably our favorite moment, is where Lucius asking his Honey for his Supersuit that it was missing that he was asking two times with "Where is my Supersuit!?", it always made me laugh and no matter how many times i replayed it.

The story itself is pretty good for the difficulty life of family or superhero and nice settings

The animation
What do i have to say for Pixar? Its another film with great concept and quality, even though it came out thirteen years ago. The concept and the design of the movie has a nostalgic feel, since it takes place in vintage era of superheroes, even though it has a few of futuristic design, but hey i like what they made. The concept idea was an inspiration from the artwork of Jim Steranko (best known for the comic of "Nick Fury: agent of  SHIELD"), which i like how he came up of nostalgia. Even though he was originally wanted to do a hand-drawn movie, but it didn't because Pixar is a work of CG films. However, they claimed that it was the hardest film ever made, with water, hair effects and design (since Monsters. Inc.), the character/costume designs, fire, random smokes, superpowers/gadgets and even explosions. I mean, i probably feel bad for the crew members for their struggle of the animation, but to be fair, they put a lot of effort for the effects and stuff.Even though some of the character designs look kind strange and some are pretty good, but hey, it was an inspiration from a vintage artist of Marvel comics.
The production and the animation of this movie is well-done and well executed, even though its one of the most difficulty work in Pixar film.

The characters
I can tell with these characters, they're pretty fun and likable.

First is our main hero, Mr. Incredible, aka Bob Parr (voiced by Craig T. Nelson). He's a father of Parr family with super-strength and limit of invulnerable. Although he's somewhat independent, but he's known to have a bit far from his family for going back as a hero or even losing his temper for his problem like injuring his boss before getting fired or even his old car (Although his temper kinda is funny.). Despite his issue, he's always an interesting hero and Craig did a nice work.

Next is Bob's wife, Helen Parr, aka ElasticGirl or better known as Mrs. Incredible (voiced by Holly Hunter). With her former nickname suggest, she has the ability of stretching her limbs, torso and sometimes shape-shifting as a parachute. Although she's a typical mother, but i think she's quite interesting as Bob, she's somewhat intelligent, feisty, humble and likable. Which i guess i could say that she's a favorite. Even though she has a same problem as Bob, being retired after fifteen years kinda gain a weight to make her feel awkward for her comeback, especially for her new outfit for her butt. (I can't help it, cause she's kinda hot though. ^^;) Despite that, i like her along with Bob and Hunter did a nice work of her role.

As for the kids like Dash, Violet and Jack-Jack?
For Dash (voiced by Spencer Fox), who's a son with super-speed. although he's self-less, but he's mischievous, kinda cocky and pretty quick. Although he's like a young version of "The Flash", but he's a one kid to have fun with actions.
For Violet (voiced by Sarah Vowell), she's an older daughter and she possesses invisibility and force-field. At first, she started as a shy emo girl, despite her ability. Its not easy to feel bad for her, since she seems to be fragile, but later on for the second to final act, she gets more interesting that i also liked her. Here's a fun fact, while Pixar was thinking for the cast of Vi, they're thinking for Sarah, by using a sound clip in episode of "This American Life" in the animation test.
And for Jack-Jack (voiced(?) by Eli Fucile and Maeve Andrews), at first he's just baby in filler, even though it didn't happen until the final act for a big surprise. either that or some of you saw "Jack-Jack attack".

Then we have a remain hero is Frozone, aka Lucius Best (voiced by...   Samuel L. Jackson?), although he's a minor hero, but i can say that he's a cool looking hero with ice powers. He's cool,laid-back and good friend of Bob Parr. Even though this isn't the only film that Sam L. Jackson played as a superhero, he also played Nick Fury in Marvel Cinematic Universe films and he's still a great actor.

And we have a the villain of the movie, Syndrome, formerly known as either Incrediboy or Buddy Pine (voiced by Jason Lee). Oh man, i never heard that we a have a villain from a fan like him. Which from the beginning, he wanted to become a sidekick with Mr. Incredible, but he got rejected a lot, causing himself into a breakdown and transformed himself  as psychotic and a cruelty villain known as "Syndrome". Which his evil mission is to killing off every "Supers" with his intelligent, power and robots known as "OmnicDroid", but thats not all, he can also plan to brought his big OmnicDroid to make every civilians as "Supers" to dealing from a giant robot.  Even though he's not a "Super" with special powers, but he has gadgets like rocket boots, a remote control robot on his wrists and Utility Gauntlets. But the one thing that really bothered me is...  How the heck did he got robots, armies, weapons, technology and more?!  That will be a lot scary for our questions.
Despite the big questions, he's probably another famous Disney/Pixar villains for all of his evil reason. And for Mirage (voiced by Elizabeth Peña), i find her pretty gorgeous with white hair and sympathy for Mr. Incredible. Even though she disappeared before the climatic battle of gigantic Omnicdroid.

As for the rest of the characters? Well, there's not much that i want to talk. But the one minor character that i also like (Aside Samuel L. Frozone) is Edna Mode (strangely voiced by Brad Bird himself). She's known for a old fashion designer of "Supers", especially that she likes to make a new suits to making completely different than before like The Incredibles. But its also worth noting that she's against the capes, mainly because it caused a lot of damage of fashion concept with previous heroes wearing a cape who's either injured or died, which is kinda like her trademark of "No capes". To me, i find that she's a fascinated minor character for not just her business of supersuits, but also for her spunky, passionate and sometimes creative personality.

With the characters who's funny, sweet and cool, they're always enjoyable.

Spoiler Alert for those you never seen the final act (Or if you don't care)
In the final act, the battle with a big Omnicdroid is pretty cool and pretty hard to beat it before Bob find the easiest way to destroy it. As they're finished, we though it was over, but we noticed what happen to Syndrome, which he came back for his Plan B, by kidnapping Jack-Jack after knocking down Kari. But as The Incredibles trying to save their baby, it reveals that Jack has shape-shifting ability, in fire, metal and a monster?  Holly heck, that is crazy for little baby (Better than Baby Geniuses), as Mrs. Incredible saves her "bundle of transformation", Mr. Incredible fought back at Syndrome by throwing his own Corvette (But, it was his new car.) at the plane, which resulting Syndrome getting got with his cape by a jet's turbine and dies in foreshadowing of "No capes!". But three months later, as they're back in peace, they're been interrupted by a new villain named  Underminer, meaning that they're going back in business to stop the new bad guy.
It was a pretty good third and final act in the film and also a well execution for a Villain's death like Syndrome. (Which im sure he's one villain that we love to hate, right?)

And now, its time for my final opinion.
Overall, The Incredibles is another successful Pixar film and also a great comeback for Brad Bird, with cool story, fantastic animation of old fashion, likable characters and it was funny as heck. I loved it a lot as a kid, looking back as i grew to adult, i still enjoyed it. Like i said before, even though it was a hardest work they've ever done, but hey, they put a lot of effort for their practice in their development. If you're a fan or superheroes or Pixar films, this one is definitely for you.

Il give this movie a perfect 10/10.

And before il end my review, il talk about a legacy a bit and even an upcoming sequel. Ever since it was successful, a comic company called BOOM! Studios announced for a publishing a comic based on the movie and it came out in 2009 with a name "The Incredibles: Family Matters" and it did do well. Well, before the comic, in 2005, there's a game called "The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer" by Heavy Iron Studios (The same company for releasing Disney Infinity franchise foe Nintendo and PC.), to making it as a sequel and it was so-and-so...   Then two years after the movie came out, Brad Bird returned in Pixar to writing and directing "Ratatouille" and it also succeed, even though i never seen it, but maybe il give a try to buy a DVD.

And finally, after several years later (Which is sometimes after Ratatouille), Bird was announced to make a sequel with reprising actors (except Spencer Fox, he'll be replaced by Huck Milner, because Fox was getting old as adult), a lot of thinking for the story that whether Underminer is a main villain or others and at one point that Helen Parr is going to be a main focus after Bob, which im fine for a changing role. Plus, it was originally to be release on 2019 along with Toy Story 4, but they cut the date on June 15 2018. Overall, i am highly anticipated to see it and maybe it will be great like Toy Story films. So, raise your hands if you like to see "The Incredibles 2".

So this ends of my movie review, if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let me know that the comment bellow.

Mini review: The Emoji Movie

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A REVIEW THAT I NEVER SAW IT, BUT I SAW ON REVIEW LIKE "ANIMAT'S REVIEW" (Since it came out already.). AND OF COURSE, IT HAS NO CONNECTION OF A STORYLINE REVIEW. READERS DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

Well, well...    How could we ever found, as one the best movie we've ever seen of 2017. The one movie was simply called "The Emoji Movie". :D

Its a 2017 animated film that was written and directed by Tony Leondis and produced by Michelle Raimo Kouyate, and it was from our favorite company called "Sony Pictures Animation".

This is a film that it has a potential and that we're highly anticipated with it became inspiration that we love to be hip and cool with mobile phones.

So lets see how good it is--  *breaks to laugh after a sarcasm*  I just kid, because this movie SUCKS, and you know it how SUCKS it is!

But, how did they done for a horrible concept?

Only way to find out.

For the story and the setting, its obviously a rip-off of the films that i saw and loved, such as "Wreck-It Ralph" by Disney, "Inside Out" by Pixar and even "The Lego Movie" by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Where it takes place in our imaginary world with Emojis called "Textopolis", our "hero" who's a multi-expression character named Gene lives with his family, before he was no choice but to going in his business from Phone users picking Emoji in "text center" by a big female boss named "Smiler". Not before he was helped by a hacker named "Jailbreak" to stay away from "Smiler" along with Hi-5 for.... Whatever the heck reason!!

The story itself is just not only rip-off, but also completely out of focus, especially with a filler with humans like Alex who wants to hang out with a girl named Addie and even cheap parents relation with Gene's "Meh" family. Its just nothing but desperate and untalented that it feels like it was written by a teenager. Not only them, but also outright plagiarizing from a beloved movie that i'd rather looking back.

For the animation, oh my god...      Where do i begin?     For starters, the animation and the designs is stupidly boring and lazy. They're just simply make an Emoji characters with limbs, thats it, its a worth of effort for a professional artists and animators. Like come on, "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2" are more creative than this pile of crap! Its as if they don't even know for not only professional, but also how they don't know to be a real Man, it feels like it was an inspiration from a Kindergarten's arts. And the jokes is stupid and unfunny. Not only that, but they also putting an "App Placements" such as Spotify, Candy Crush, Dropbox, Instagram, and Just Dance, which they're just a not only a gimmick, but also out of space for the concept. For that, the animation is so bad, that is disgusting, desperate and even unwatchable.

And for the characters, they're not lovable, they're just generic and forgettable.

Starting with Gene (voiced by T. J. Miller), he's a multi-expression character who likes to going in journey, despite he's happy who he is. He's just a bland typical hero that we rather want him something more original, than a generic personality.

Second, we have Hi-5 (voiced by James Corden) is a comic relief with egomaniac persona. Boring and stupid...

Jailbreak (voiced by Anna Feris) is a codebreaker to fighting against the with freedom of viruses. She's just dull love interest, but also a ripoff of Wildstyle from "The Lego Movie.

Smiler (voiced by Maya Rudolph) is big boss with demanding for orders, but she's also one the most ugliest and creepiest character i've ever seen that i'd rather run away for a help!!

As for the rest, they're not only boring and i'd rather not talk about, but they're also more generic for their gimmicks. I mean, i've seen more interesting gimmick than these "out of idea" characters. Especially if they include "Poop" that i wish that this guy is going to be a mascot of "Sony Picture Animation", because we all know that its nothing but S***s!!
The characters are all but nothing bland, typical of stereotypes and out of focus that it tries really hard to make them likable, but in reality, they failed pretty hard.

Oh btw, did i forgot to notice that they have a short film based on "Hotel Transylvania"? I don't wanna talk about, its also a waste of time to explain it.

So overall....   Good lord, Sony has done it pretty bad that i've watched. If you though "Power Rangers 2017" bellow average? Well, this so-called "Movie" is anything by average! This is the worst movie ever made in 2017, its as if it was not made by a real human being for how to be a man or even professional, its more like it was made by either corporation or even from other universe with no knowledge! With poorly written story, unprofessional animation, dumb and cliche characters, the joke isn't funny and its just nothing but a Ripoff!! I mean, its just nothing but a "movie" that was found from a junkyard that its too dirty to put it on theater!
So please my friend, do me a positive favor, stay away from this abomination that it ever exist, this movie isn't worth of earning millions of dollars of box-office! Its just nothing but a waste of time and even waste of money for you guys! And if you see a DVD/Blu-Ray that they released it in November or Christmas, burn it, burn it to the F***ing ground that it should NOT be exist!!

This is pretty obvious that il give it a -1/10. It will be a lot creative instead of giving 1 or 0!!

So this ends of my review from this cancerous movie (Thank god...), its not only a review, but its also a warning that i want all of you needs to listen (or reading) carefully to stay away and focus with good movies like "Atomic Blond" or even Dunkirk. And let me know in the comments bellow for your opinion or suggestions.

Thanks for reading, be strong, be brave and be ignore from this "Movie". And im Anthony, signing out.

Movie review: Spider-man Homecoming

Bryan Emmerich: *opens a box in surprise* Oh my goodness...

Mystica: What is it?

Bryan Emmerich: Its a...  a costume of Spider-man and a comic based on the movie that it already came out called "Spider-man Homecoming"?

Mystica: Wow, didn't expect that.

Bryan Emmerich: Me too. I guess we'll find out, since we had five previous films. *opens a book to find out*

*several hours later*

Bryan Emmerich: wow... That...   Was Amazing!!

*review starts*

Greeting everyone, my name is Bryan Emmerich and welcome back to the movie review.

What can we say about Spider-man?  He's one of the most famous hero in Marvel comics history since he was first started in 1962,  its about a teenager who got bitten by a radioactive spider that he secretly have powers with strength, climbing, super jumps, webs and even Spider-sense. Ever since he's so popular, he appeared every media from cartoons to the movies. The most famous is the Sam Raimi's Spider-man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. The first was pretty descent, the second one is great and the third one is pretty disappointed, which is no wonder why their forth plan was canceled. And then we have two of "The amazing spider-man" movies, the first one was rather good and the second one is just a big joke, its also no wonder why their third plan got canceled.  I mean geez, Sony and few members could've make a good spider-man movies for how to make something right.

That is until MCU finally brought our friendly neighborhood back in the big screen in "Captain America Civil War", which it sounds too soon, but they have to follow the book for big brawl of heroes. And finally, they made their standalone film that we're highly anticipated.

"Spider-man Homecoming" is a 2017 Superhero film was written/directed by Jon Watts, produced by Kevin Fiege and Amy Pascal and written by Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley for screenplay and story.

As i mentioned before, Spider-man was first appeared in Civil War that he's working with Iron Man for the protection facility like in the comic. And when he first introduced, we're pretty surprised and impressed for him. And thats why they made a movie that is sorta like a sequel from last year.

With that said, will this movie holds up for the MCU's second attempt of our favorite web-swinger, or is this film will be like a bug crushed by Green Goblin?

Lets find out.

Story
It began after the Avengers fought against the creatures called "Chitauri", a man named Adrian Toomes worked for a clean up, but they're been took over by Stark's U.S. Department of Damage Control, leaving him and his henchmen out of business. 8 years later, Peter Parker filmed himself for a vlogging about his life and even being a heroic Spider-man while fighting against a few members of Avengers. After that, he was originally attended to be a part of the Avengers, but he was not ready, because he has a study to do. Meanwhile, Adrian was angered of his released, he was planning to stealing Tony Stark's Iron Man armors for his secret plan. So its up to Parker to dealing against Adrian known as "Vulture" to defending Tony's armors.

I can the story is actually quiet interesting concept, rather having a villain for stealing money or any victim, this one focused with Vulture looking for Tony's armor for his goal and revenge. Even though the story can hard for Peter's difficult goal to become a member of the Avengers after the Civil War, which he may risked himself for his adventure. As we know, the subplot goes where Parker has to do the study in his school and perhaps have a relationship with Liz, which it didn't work very well. The study subplot might work, since we know Pete is a teenager hero, but the love with Liz, yeah...

The story is pretty good, but some of the subplot isn't worth for the development.

The production
What can i say for the production? Its just a great concept in MCU. The filming location is nice place, especially with Washington D.C.. The action sequence are pretty damn cool and intense. So what about the costume designs?  For Spider-man, he looks pretty cool, even though it has some black lines from his arms and legs. He has a belt which its easy for the fact its his ammo for his web-slingers, the web-slingers are shown which it would've been good to covering them. Plus, his mask has moving eyes for his reaction. But his costume has some interesting concept, which he might have a similar concept of Iron Man, with having an AI named "Karen", a robot partner named "Spider-Drone" and multiple of type of webs like taser, explosive and more. I like his concept, it will be a lot more creative and nearly powerful. He also have his old costume, which is just a hood and a mask with goggles, not bad, but i would've surprise if he has "The Human spider" costume from the first "Spider-man" movie, even though the suit in the movie took about between 25 to 45 when he's wearing it. For Vultures, i also like the design, with a pilot outfit with a jet pack with wings, he looks way better than his old appearance in the comic. Toomes's henchmen's gadgets are also pretty cool with laser gun with orbs, a shocking fist gauntlet for "Shocker" and even a gravity gun. And of course, we have Iron Man, in this movie, his armor called "Mk 47", although it has an interesting concept with Wi-Fi call, but the color appearance is average, although it has hotrod colors (red and yellow), but it has a bit too much of gray from torso and arms. The effects in the movie is well done with CGs.

The production is well-done for the actions and the costume designs.

The characters
If you ever read the comic, you probably know who those characters are, unless you already know from previous MCU films.

First is our titular friendly neighborhood himself, Peter Parker, aka Spider-man (played by Tom Holland). He's a geek boy for study with science and maybe a comic book boy. However, he seems to be probably risky, since he may have a clumsy problem not just in average life, but being a hero. I mean sure, he is a teen in a unlucky life from his rival Flash Thompson (played by Tony Revolori). Despite that, Tom did a good job for his role, especially that he was inspired from two previous roles of Spider-man.

He has a friend named Ned (played by Jacob Batalon), although he's like Peter for science subject in school, but he's probably be like his partner of Spider-man for the command of locations and others. Even though some say that he's supposed to be "Ned Leeds" (aka the third Hobgoblin), but he has nothing to do with him to never include "Leeds" for his last name. Well, only time will tell for more Spider-man movies.

Then we have Liz (played by Laura Harrier), who's a student's favorite in the school and probably a love interest from Parker. But sadly, she would've do better that she has less appearance and she's not as interesting than Mary Jane Watson nor Gwen Stacy.

His partner is Tony Stark aka Iron Man (played by or course, Robert Downey Jr), as you know, he's a genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist with a sense of humor. In this movie, he seems to be like a mentor to make attention to Parker for the goal to become a part of Avengers. Its kinda obvious that he has less appearance, which i guess he's busy to hang out with babes. Although still, Robert is always did a nice work for his role.

And finally is Adrian Toomes aka Vulture (played by Michael Keaton), he's an interesting villain in the movie, he's an arms trafficker for seeks revenge for his released of his business. Which he has a jetpack wing from Chitauri technology. He's sorta like a dark version of Tony Stark. though Keaton did a nice job of his role, but apparently, he's portrayed in the opposite direction after he played Batman from 1989 to 1992.

There few others like Aunt May (played by Marisa Tomei) even though she seems to be less older, Michelle Jones (played by Zendaya?) who's a smarter student in Peter's class, Happy Hogan (played by... Jon Favreau???) who's a former head security of Stark's industries and a bodyguard, Aaron Davis (played by Donald Glover) who's a purchaser for Toomes and more that i won't tell more.

The characters are great and one who's nice to be back. Even though some who's rather forgettable.

And now its time for my conclusion.
Spider-man Homecoming is probably a best Spider-man film ever done with good acting for the characters (except for some), interesting story and impressive production. Even though the subplot for the relationship of Liz and Peter isn't worth for the lack of development or even Iron Man's Mk 47 design. Despite my flaws of the movie, but its still great. If you're looking for good Spider-man film, this one is for you, i highly recommend to watch it, it has fun action and it has some sense of humor.

So for that, il give it 9/10. Go watch it if you want.

Well, im done for the review. If you guys have some suggestions or your opinion of the movie, hit the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading, until next time.
