Mini-review: King Arthur: Legend of the sword

Notice: This review has no connection of storyline review of 2017. Readers discretion is advised.

You know, there's been many of legend tale films out here that we remembered like "Narnia" or even "Lord of the Rings". But the one was considered to be a classic story is "King Arthur". a story about a legendary warrior who lives with a mentor name "Merlin" about the sword is stuck on the stone. As he picked up the sword known as "Excalibur", he become a brave warrior and later on, becoming the king to fight against the war lord. This legend story was so classic that it has been adapted and inspired, from movies, cartoons and more.

But the one that i saw is "King Arthur: legend of the sword", a fantasy epic film that was directed by written (screenplay), produced and directed by Guy Ritchie. Its one of the film that i was curious to see, but i changed my mind that i watched "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". But i went in activity club to see this movie to give a shot.

For the story, it begins on the flashback that Arthur has been raised by the prostitutes, when his parents was murdered by Mordred. As he grew up, he become a skilled warrior and he pulls an "Excalibur" off from the stone, which he was being imprisoned for that?  But not before he was being rescued by his friends and setting up to fight the iron fist with Camelot.

Yeah, the story is rather forgettable, its as if they're trying to follow the main plot for Arthur dealing against the evil army, but then it got slow and wasted with some filler. Another thing thats not good, is that it doesn't have relation of Arthur and Merlin, instead Merlin was replaced by a female nameless mage, which i find it ok, but not that good.

The production of this movie is pretty cool, with nice location (despite some filming location was done in CGI) and an incredible action sequences. But sometimes it got tacky, especially the movie got randomly editing from the past or forward moment, like stop trying to skip or going back, it drove me confused. The most annoying of all of this movie is the overuse of "flashback", like we get it, Arthur's parents is killed, we need to moving on to a war. And finally, they including monsters, which all of them are either average or even ugly design that feels like an old generation of video game.

And the characters are rather average, Arthur (played by Charlie Hunnam) is rather an interesting hero, the mage (played by Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey) seems to be a bit forgettable for little bit of less appearance, but she has a cool ability of possessing animals and the main villain Mordred (played by Rob Knighton) is an average villain. And the rest of the characters are rather forgettable, including "Blue" who's an annoying kid that i wish he'll die.

Although the acting is good, but most of them couldn't saved from this movie.

In the end, its just a poor attempt of adaptation film based on the legendary tale. It was so bad that it became a box-office bomb with less than a hundred million dollars, since they produced the film with 175 million dollars of budget.

So for that, i give it 3/10.

So thanks for reading and im Anthony, signing out.

Movie review: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Anthony: That was close for-- *sees a comic book on the floor* Hm? A comic book? *picks up one book* "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2"? I never seen the first one, but il guess il find out in this sequel. *opens a book to read (or watching a movie)*

*2 hours later*

Umm...   It was.... Ok...?

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to movie review.

Well im going back to Marvel Cinematic Universe to take a look one of the fan favorite of franchise a long with Civil War and few others you like, is "Guardians of the Galaxy". Although i never seen the first one, but many people enjoyed this movie with great actions, funny and likable characters for a fun performances.

When the first one was successful for critical acclaim and great box-office, they made a sequel for an exciting anticipation. With the result....  It was kinda different.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is a 2017 Marvel superheroes film that was written and directed by James Gunn and produced by Kevin Feige. This is one of the film that its not anticipation, but more likely a curiosity, despite that i never seen the first one.

So, with all that said, will this movie will be a good sequel, or is it gonna be obscure from far away of the Galaxy?

Well, lets find out.

The Story
It takes place in 2014 after the first film, Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot work together as the titular group. The leader of Sovereign race, Ayesha tell them that she brough Gamora's sister name "Nebula", who's a prisoner who attempt to stealing batteries. Once they left, but Rocket stole the batteries for his plan, which resulting Ayesha very mad to sending her armies to stop them and hiring Yondu Udonta, but they escaped. Meanhwile, Peter Quill (Star-Lord) meets a mysterious father named "Ego" along with Mantis where he raised her, Ego wants to have a family reunion to his own planet. Peter accepts that he, Drax and Gamora come together to Ego's planet, while Rocket, Nebula and Baby Groot will be in the planet to fixing a ship, not before they're being captured by Yondu's crews.

So yeah, i find the story is getting splitting up, which i was rather confusing and perhaps cliche. Its due to the fact i don't know who's the main villain of the movie, because i had a hard time to thinking for the story. And they brought a "father and son relationship" in the movie that doesn't help out for Ego and Star-Lord. And there's a rivalry of Gamora and Nebula, but i find that its just a waste of time with filler. Though the story story with the escape from the evil crews with Rocket and Groot was interesting and funny, but couldn't make it quicker from a 2 hours film. As for the jokes, it still there that i find it funny.

The story is probably average at best to describe, its as if Gunn was trying way to hard to make it creative, but not too good.

The production
Good lord, the production of this movie was amazing and colorful. I really like how Kevin was done for the concept with colorful space, creative background and a well-done makeup (Especially with Drax). The background design in Ego's planet looks pretty nice and colorful, especially the flashback egg-thingy that it kinda reminds of Krypton's ship with a flashback from "Man of Steel", but more colors. And like the first film, at least i like the design of Rocket Raccoon, which they're trying made him look like a realistic raccoon rather than playing silly of cartoony, which im glad they done it. But like Suicide Squad, they played some songs that you may or may not familiar with, but at least they some songs that i never heard of. But my tiny nitpick, is that they played "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac two times from the first act and the final act, they could've play some song from the trailer like "hooked on a feeling" by Blue Swede or David Hasselhoff (Maybe not the last one, but it would've been a nice pick for Peter Quill, since he's like a fanboy of David.).

The production is a fantastic job for beautiful backgrounds and nice design. Despite they should've play "Hooked on a feeling" in the movie than the trailer. Just saying.

The characters
Im sure some of you are familiar of  members of "Guardians of the Galaxy". But if you never heard of them like myself, il try my best to describe and giving my opinion. Even though we have some new characters in the film.

First is the leader of the group, Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Played by my favorite actor, Chris Pratt), originally a human alien thief of "Ravagers", he's a type a guy that we love for his personality and some culture reference, but not too much as Deadpool. However, i get the feel that he's went down a bit in this movie, but i won't tell the truth for spoilers. Despite that, i like Chris Pratt's performance of the leader of the group and he's always my favorite.

Next we have Gamora, a daughter of Thanos (played by Zoe Saldana), she's known to be an assassin for seeking redemption and trained by her father. Although she's supposed to be a love interest from Star-Lord, but its obvious she's more like an anti-hero of the group, she's strong independent and badass alien girl. Beautiful aside, i find that she's a pretty cool character, and yes, its the same atress who played "Uhura" from J.J. Abram's Star Trek.

Third member is Drax the destroyer (played by the former WWE superstar, Dave Bautista), he's a highly skilled warrior to looking for a fight at Thanos for his family's death. Even though that he used to be a bad guy, but i think he's also an interesting character of this movie. Despite of badassness, but he's actually pretty funny in the movie.

Fourth member is Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), he's an alien anthropomorphic raccoon bounty hunter with a mastery of weapons and military tactics. Even though he has a similar personality like the first movie, funny and cranky, but he's sorta become mentor of Baby Groot (Since i think the first Groot was sacrificed. Again, i never seen the first one, but spoiler?). He's yet another likable character in the movie, he's not only cute, but also pretty badass with his guns.

finally there's Baby Groot (played by Vin Diesel), he's pretty unlikely than the first film. But sure he has the ability to planting his arms to beat the bad guys or other times he's just doing nothing. Even though he's just a kid, but i wish he could've get more action. And i've nothing against Vin Diesel, he's a badass actor since he's decades with Fast and Furious films. And no, i never seen "The Fate and the Furious".

Finally, lets get some new characters.

First is Ego (surprisingly played by Kurt Russel), he's a mysterious ancient being that he;s supposed to be a father of Quill. Although i find pretty strange that he's a planet human being, which he created his home planet by himself. Even though he couldn't avoid from "father and son" cliche, which im not sure if he fits in with Star Lord. Despite the flaws, Kurt did an interesting performance over the years of his career, probably better than his role in "Man of Steel".

Next we have Mantis (played by Pom Klementieff), she was raised by Ego and she has the ability of Empathy. She's a type of character who's lonely and kinda depressed, i kinda felt bad for her. Even though i find her kinda creepy since she looks bug-eyed, i guess its they're trying to be look like human-like bug for a face, but im sure if she's either cute or creepy. Even though i never heard of Pom, but i think she did a nice work.

Then there's Yondu Udonta (played by Michael Rooker, aka... Merle Dixon from The Walking Dead?), who's a buccaneer and the leader of Ravagers and he's supposed to be a fatherly figure of Quill. What i heard, they're trying to be a bit look like in the comic, whether you agree or not. At first i though he has nothing to do with the plot, but i was wrong, he was the leader of the group that he was looking for Guardians of the Galaxy. The funny thing about him is that he has the ability of manipulating arrow with whistles, i find it strange, but ok? Despite of questionable casting choice, Michael did an interesting job as a leader of the group. I mean i wouldn't expect if Marvel studio bring Norman Reedus in MCU, just saying.

Next up, there's Nebula (played by Karen Gillan), she's an adopted daughter of Thanos that she's supposed to be a sister of Gamora. Even though she has a hate relationship of her sister. She seems to be a bit similar to Blackfire, who's an evil sister of Starfire for her power. But Nebula was likely an anti-adopted sister that she wants to kill Gamora. But my problem, is that she's rather a filler that it has nothing to do with a main plot. Sorry Nebula, im not sure if you're likable in the movie.

And finally, there's Stakar Ogord, aka Starhawk (also surprisingly played by Sylvester Stallone), he's also an interesting character in the movie, he's an high rank of Ravanger and an history with Yondu. Although he did a great acting, but my problem is that he has less appearance, he appeared in the first act and final act. Talk about a waste inclusion in the movie.

They're a few other characters like Ayesha (played by Elizabeth Debicki), who's a queen of her races and...  Taserface (played by Chris Sullivan) *snicker* Whats with his name... X3

The characters are quiet good in the movie, but some are probably a waste of space for either filler or even a waste of appearance.

And now for my final opinion of this film.
Overall, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is probably an above average film, the story is not that great, the production is well done and the characters are great and some that are forgettable. I maybe agree with my friend or something, that i should've watch the first one before the sequel, i know its not easy for my curiosity to see this movie. If you like Guardians of the Galaxy, maybe its for you, if not, just stick to the first one.

Il give this movie a 6/10. It may not be watchable, but its rather averagely entertaining.

So this ends of my movie review, but im not done with comic book movies, because next time, il going back to another one, but in DC universe film that i hope it will be better..

And if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let know at the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading, and im Anthony, signing out.

Movie Review: Ghost in the Shell 2017

Anthony: I wonder whats inside? *opens the box, which resulting that he was sucked in the box to the other dimension* What?! What the heck?!

*As Anthony leaves the alleyway, it turns out he lives in the future city*

Anthony: Wow... This is a huge place... *looks around* I've never seen how cool and futuristic it is...

*As he he's going to walking around, he sees an agents walking together, as they scan for a cyberterrorist*

Anthony: Uh oh...  I think i better stay away from these guys. *goes back in the alleyway as he didn't get sighted by the agents*

*After waiting that they walk away, he was relieved that nothing happen. He tries to find the other way, but not before being caught by a cyborg who looks like Anthony (named "Impostor Anthony"), but his face is nearly reveal of robot and naked with his black brief*

Anthony: Ah!! *got jumped back from impostor of himself*

Impostor Anthony: *grabs his throat and looks at his face for scanning. After that, he was in fact a human* ...

Anthony: O-Ok...?

Impostor Anthony: *pushes him down* Worthless human being...

Anthony: W-What??

Impostor Anthony: You're look like me, worthless bastard! You'll made my new plan that il be hiding forever that the security Section 9 will easily catch you that they'll believe that you're a cyberterrorist...!

Anthony: N-No! I didn't do anything like escaping from the factory of memories or something. Im just an innocent person, i don't want to be arrested or killed! I... *looks around, before he sees a right door of movie room* I... I can do anything for you!!

Impostor Anthony: Anything for me?

Anthony: Y-Yeah, i mean... We can go to the door on the right that we can have a conversation for a plan or something, right?

Impostor: Hmm...  Very well, human being...

Anthony: Um, its Anthony, thank you very much. *opens a door that he and the impostor entering the room and turn on the light that there's a futuristic film projector of "Ghost in the Shell 2017"* Hm? There's a film projector. *walks toward it* Looks pretty interesting, i wonder if the major or other agents can come to the room to see this movie.

Impostor Anthony: Don't even think about it...  The Section 9 will never found us, unless if there's a woman major who's a smartest.

Anthony: Huh?

Impostor Anthony: No time to explain, start the projector, Anthony...

Anthony: Ok, lets see how this movie goes... *starts the projector to watch a movie*

*Several hours later*

Hm, that was...  Honestly good.

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to my movie review.

Back in the old days, Hollywood is always like to cash in to making movies based on Japanese works like Manga and Anime. But most of them are pretty bad that it should not be exist for the fans. *cough "DragonBall Evolution" cough* Even though some that might be good, like Guyver: Dark Hero (since i saw it in "Brandon's cult movie review".).

Later on, they decided to cash in to making a movie, based on the Japanese Sci-Fi classic with a humanoid cyborg.... of Black Widow...

Ghost in the shell 2017 is a Sci-fi action film that was directed by Rupert Sanders, produced by Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Steven Paul, and Michael Costigan, and written in screenplay by Jamie Moss, William Wheeler and Ehren Kruger.

This film was considered to be based on the manga with the same name by Masamune Shirow. However, i believed that its like a remake from a 1995 anime movie. Even though i never read the manga or the anime, its just i was a little bit familiar, not before i stumble the live action remake with Scarlett Johansson. Back then in 1995, the movie was considered to be a best Sci-fi anime movie with fun action and great characters. Ever sine it was succesful, they made an anime show called "Stand Alone Complex" and "Arise". Like i said, even though i never seen this franchise, so maybe il watch in the future.

So, with all that said, will this movie make a good appeal for American viewers, or is this type of film that was tricking us that we never seen the 1995 version by the hackers?

Well, lets find out.

The Story
It takes place in the near future that the humanity are augmented with cybernetics for strength, vision and intelligence. It the beginning, on Hanka Robotics, doctors found a body of a woman for the experiment to integrate the brain on the mechanical body. Once the experiment is completed, we introduce a woman who's revived named "Mira Killian" (Don't worry, il get to that later.) that she was into a cyborg and being picked up to join as a major in Security Section 9. One year later, Major Mira was on in the objective to finding a robotic geisha for hacking a victim for hacking. Which it turns out that the geisha was manipulated by mysterious entity named Kuze. Its up to Major to finding him to stop the threat.

Even though i know that it was different than the original movie, but i find it ok for that. I like the concept of an anti-terrorist group dealing against the cybercriminals in the future. Even though was a little bit slow, since it has almost plenty of subplot, like explaining about the cyborg and where Major sees a flashback that i don't know what has to do. Which the flashback didn't happen until later on. But the one thing that made me confused is the mention that Major lost her family that they drowned of death and she nearly survived before become a cyborg, which is kinda annoying for we want the focus of finding hackers rather than explain about the backstory.

Although the story is good, even though it has a flaws from the subplots of mentioning flashback if its this or that.

The Production
Unlike the previous film which is obviously a hand drawn anime, this one is a live action film and i gotta say, it looks beautiful. The concept of the city is amazingly colorful, especially it has a butt-load of hologram, they're all over in this place. The background that they film is a nice location choice and the designs like futuristic cars is damn cool. The action scene is pretty intensely cool, with gunshots and a fists fight with stealth, it was a fun and entertaining to including a nice visuals. The character concept is nearly like in the manga, although they look good, especially with Major in naked, which im glad they didn't show nips and vag, although in the anime version kinda has a nips. But the one thing i don't like, is the they film of close-up of Major, especially with the interrogation scene, it used more than five times like stop showing Major's face, you made feel like being hypnotized!

The production of the movie is fantastically done, but i just can't help but nitpicking about Major's close-up.

The Characters
Now im sure some of you may familiar of these characters in the series. However, they have some flaws for a lack of developments.

First, we have or main protagonist herself, Major Mira Killian (played by Black Widow herself, Scarlett Johansson), she's knwon to be strong, highly intelligent and strong-will. In this movie, she's considered to be emotional and emphasis when she was reborn as a cyborg. However she has flaws, first up, i don't like that her name was changed to "Mira Killian", which it doesn't work for the change that we all known that its "Major Motoko Kusanagi", which her name didn't happen in the beginning at all. And fanilly that im sure you know whats happening, since Scarlett is picked up to playing a cybernetic major, it went into an outcry of controversies that idea is plain "whitewashing", meaning that Scarlett is portrayed as a Japanese character, since she's a Caucasian. As for the Japanese thoughts? Well, they're fine for her role. Some say that its not as important for a franchise's theme for her look. Some others saying that the Japanese worshiping white people, instead being sensitive. In other words, they claimed that Scarlett's role is a good choice of casting. For me, im on Japanese side, which not only thinking she's fitting for her role, but she did a great job for her role. So seriously, over-sensitive fanboys, you need to chill out and except the Japanese's opinion.

Next we have Major's sidekick, Batou (played by Pilou Asbaek), he's best known to be a secondary agen of Section 9, he's heart-warming, funny and a kind of guy with no BullS*** personality. In the movie, im pretty he's pretty much like in the anime. Although he shown normal with human eyes until he got cybernetic eyes. He's an cool looking guy and Pilou did an interesting work of his role.

Then we have a big boss of Section 9, Daisuke Aramaki (played by "Beat" Takeshi Kitano, who's an actor, director, author, screen-writer, producer-- Ok, how much business he took back then?). He's portayed as either calm or a serious chief of security anti-terrorists. Although he did have some action and he's the only one who only speaks Japanese in the movie, which im fine for that. Although Takeshi is an interesting man for his role. Its either that or i'd rather play his own game called "Takeshi's Challenge".

Next, we have three of them in Hanka Robotics, one is Dr. Ouelet (played by Juliette Binoche), Mr. Cutter (played by Peter Ferdinando) and Dr. Dahlin (played by Anamaria Marinca). These guys are supposed to given some development about cybernetics, but they're rather forgettable. Ouelet is sorta portrayed as a mother-personality, Cutter ic a CEO with demanding and Dahlin who's a consultant who literally smoking in the department (I mean, didn't she learn from a warning sign?). Although Juliette and Peter did a nice work, but couldn't be safe for lackluster role.

And finally, we have a main antagonist, the puppe-- Er, i mean, Kuze (played by Michael Pitt). This is one a big example that its different than before. In the anime movie, the main villain is "The Puppet Master", who's a cybernetic manipulative hacker for taking over the city. But in this movie, they changed the villain to Kuze. Which he was from "Stand Alone Complex", that he's a terrorist. Anyway, he has a similar portray "Puppet Master" for taking over the city. Despite of change, i like his design that he looks badass to showing that he has less human skin, even though he's stuttering (since he's a cyborg). I find that he's rather interesting, mysterious and rather manipulative.

Although some characters that are interesting, even though some of them are not as likable for a development.

And now for my final opinion of this film.
Overall, this movie is honestly good. With not bad story, amazing productions and some characters are enjoyable and the Hanka workers are easily the weakest. Although its not easy to pick which one is a better adaptation film of Manga/Anime, but this one is rather good in my opinion. Even though the story is different that the fans are disappointed and the casting choice of Scarlett Johansson created a controversies of racism from these over-sensitive D***heads that they want her to be replaced by a Japanese actress, but the people in Japan defend Scarlett's role that its a nice casting decision that i rather accept to them. So for my favor for the fans of the series, just watch the 1995 film or even "Stand Alone Complex" to calm the hell down, if not, shame on you for how sensitive you are. But in my opinion, its not a bad movie, its almost like a guilty pleasure film, but more like a slightly above average film.

So, il rate this movie 7/10. It may not be watchable, but you can give a try if you never seen the 1995 version.

So this ends of my movie review, if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let me know at the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading, and im Anthony, signing out.

Zordon: *appears in computer screen with his face* Greetings, everyone.

Anthony: *sees him* Oh hello?

Zordon: I am Zordon, your mentor of Rangers.

Anthony: Rangers? We are the Rangers?

Zordon: Exactly, you're been chosen by us that we need your help, because from 10 thousand years ago, i fought Rita who disguised as a Green Ranger to stealing the gems called "Zeo Crystals" when i dressed as a Red Ranger.

Anthony: But you're just a hea--

Zordon: Don't ask, please. Anyway, Rita was escaped from the dumpster with her minions. But because im just in a computer, which Alpha 5 made me sacrificed to stop Rita.

Alpha 5: Yes, its all my fault to kill you, ayayayaya...

Anthony: Yeesh, talk about dark backstory to lose a leader of Rangers.

Alpha 5: Indeed.

Zordon: We're giving you a "Power Coins" that you'll become a "Power Rangers". *gives a coins to them that turning into "Power Rangers 2017", except for Anthony, which be comes original Green Ranger*

Anthony: *in original Green Ranger* Wow that was-- *sees Eric Blakron, Marian Blakron, Bryan Emmerich, Zelia and Sniping Jackson in reboot outfits* Hey, why can't i wear a reboot version than this?

Zordon: Because we can't find the new one out there, sorry.

Anthony: Crap...  Any other problem aside Rita or whoever?

Zordon: Apparently, she's not the only one who's going to taking over your world, she's with a man named "Corporate Driver". *opens the screen to shows that Corporate with with Rita for a plan*

Anthony: What the?! My nemesis is working with her!?

Zordon: You know him?

Anthony: Yeah, its that idiot that he likes to manipulating to make all of our stuff of anticipation into either disappointed or the worst to make money for himself.

Zordon: Oh...  Anyway, we're giving you weapons to fight the enemies, *gives blaster at them* This is you power blaster, where you can shoot with powers. *gives lance to Bryan* This is your power lance, a weapon of Great Power... *gives a sword to Eric" This is your power sword, key all the weapons of power...

Anthony: *earns a "Dragon Dagger"* Wow, thats a cool looking dagger. Also, why you keep call all these weapons to "Power"? Its almost like a dr--

Zordon: Don't ask for that... Anyway, but the biggest trick is that Rita can also summon creatures into bigger size, you must call upon the robots called "Zords" to fight them, unless you can combining together known as "MegaZords". As for you, Green Ranger, you can call yours named "DragonZord" with your dagger as a flute.

Anthony:*looks at the dagger* Huh, thats strange, i have to call my machine with a dagger as a flute?

Zordon: Yes. But unfortunately, we don't have time for that, you five can go and fight the minions.

*Five rangers accept and teleport away in various location to find the minions*

Anthony: Wha-?! What about me? Why can't i go out there and beat the heck out of them?

Zordon: You have to stay here. Because you have your own mission, you objective is to review a movie that it came out three days ago. *change the screen to shows "Power Rangers 2017" movie*

Anthony: Oh yeah, the review. Well, ever since im familiar with "Power Rangers when i was young, lets see how it goes.

*2 hours later*

Anthony: *double facepalms* Oh... My...   God...    I can't believe they done Fucked it up...

Alpha 5: Not in good mood of this movie?

Anthony: No...!!

*sigh* Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to my review.

Back in the 90's, we're always familiar with "Power Rangers", the series starring the teenagers become a "Power Rangers" to save the world from the evil threats of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd. The show was considered classic for kids and also for adults, and it still on to the day. Its also mention that it was originally created from Japan called "Super Sentai", but it was introduced from 1975 and like our show, it still going on to this very day.

Ever since it was popular your younger fans and maybe an adult fans, it was planned to be a reboot film. Now im sure some people gave a mixed opinion that it may be good for doing similar from before, or other times that they'll go "Oh my gawd!!! Don't do a reboot, it hurts my childhood!!!". Prove it, fanboys, you have to find out when the producers show their concept for our anticipation, but it could be worse...  *cough "Ghostbusters 2016" cough*

Power Rangers 2017 is a reboot film that was directed by Dean Israelite, produced by Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey and written by John Gatins (for screenplay), Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, Michele Mulroney and Kieran Mulroney (four of them for story).

Its one of the film that we're anticipating to see this after 20 years from the show came out. Even though i never seen "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". And after all, this is the third Power Rangers film. There's "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" in 1995 and "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie" in 1997. But neither of them aren't great.

So, with all that said, will this movie will be exciting for "Morhpin Time!", or is this film that it'll be banished in the dumpster for thousands of years?

Well, lets find out.

The Story
It begins in the flashback where Zordon is a Red Ranger, but fallen along with his partners, due to the fact that Rita (Who's shockingly a Green Ranger) betrayed him for capturing the coins called "Zeo Crystals" for her power. However, he banished her in the water, but sacrificed from a meteor. Fast forward in present time, we introduce the teenagers, Jason, Billy, Kimberly, Trini and Zack, they lived in the school of Angel Grove. However, when they going to a mountain and cliff, they discovered the Zeo Crystals, which it gives them ability. Once they jumped off the cliff, they visited a lost spaceship that it was on underground (which i believe it should be a Command Center.), they meet Alpha 5 and Zordon that they heard about Rita was coming back from the dead. So its up to the teenagers has to training to become a Rangers.

I find it a good story for an opposite direction, i like where the teenagers discovered something before visit their center for a help. Even though it has some filler where Jason was confronting one bully, i guess it supposed to be a bit like in the show where they meet Bulk and Skull, even though these two dorks are not in the movie. But the biggest problem of the movie is that it has less action, which its because it focused more about the teenagers development. I mean yeah we like to know who they are, but we like to see some action, especially in Power Rangers form, but it never happen until the final act! I mean, oh my Fucking god...! Talk about a waste of time, its basically like "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie", but in reboot version.

Although the story is above average, but do you think if this movie should focus with action in morph, but no, we gotta wait for it for more than one hour.

The production
Despite the story is just a waste, but at least the production is pretty nice. The filming location of Angel Grove is an interesting location what we looked at. As for the spaceship in underground, i find it pretty cool, the morphing center is interesting and the training room is basically a cave room that i find it "Really?", but at least its not as silly like the Command Center was located in Vasquez Rocks by slapping an image on the top of the rocks in the show. The Power Rangers costume looks impressive, although it looks like futuristic version of outfit of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie", but different, especially with a center of galaxy look-a-like on the torso. The Zords are a bit look like the original version, but different, not a bad design, i like it. For Zordon, although it was done with a face motion capture, but i think its an interesting concept that he appears from a computerized wall thingy. But sometimes it can be a downside concept, like for Alpha 5, unlike in the show that he's in the human size and colorful lights, here he's small, less colorful and rather ugly quality, especially with adding yellow eyes. The Megazord design is rather average at best, but i not gonna tell how it lookds for spoilers, along with Goldar. (Kinda, since it showed for a second in the trailer.)

Although the production looks pretty nice, even though some of the concept isn't that good what we have.

The characters
You expect that the characters could be likable of attitudes?  Well....  Its a complicated story for them.

First is the leader and Red Ranger himself, Jason Scott (played by Dacre Montgomery). Unlike in the show where he's a martial artist with jock persona, he's a former football player and a risky person for a dangerous prank. And later on, he got changed into rather smart and understandable to become a leader. Although i never heard of Dancre, but i think he's rather likable in the film. Even though it doesn't help for a wasting story.

Second Ranger is Billy Cranston, who's a Blue Ranger (played by RJ Cyler). Unlike the show where he's Caucasian, here he's an African American, i guess its because they're trying to avoid a controversy of racism for a Black Ranger. Even though he's a nerd (perhaps), he's an autistic in the movie. But he's just plain awkward for his development, especially that he's also a cringe-worthy comic relief. He's just plain unlikable in the movie that its just embarrassing. And no, im not racist, but the personality doesn't work for changing a personality.

Third Ranger is Kimberly Hart, who's a Pink Ranger (played by Naomi Scott). Although she's a former mean girl (not sure why), but she's a gymnast that she shown in meditation. Even though she can be risky for her life, like where she cuts her hair in the school after ended her mean girl personality. Its also mention that she's going to be a love interest of Jason. Even though she's slightly like in the show, but i kinda think she's rather interesting. But like i said, she couldn't be safe from this movie.

Fourth Ranger is Trini Kwan, who's a Yellow Ranger (played by Becky G). Unlike in the show where she's calm and environmentalist, here she's considered to be a Lesbian. That might be a first time in Power Rangers character with LGBTQ personality, but its only the movie, which i find it to be a disturbing choice. However, she's rather a lone girl, mainly because of her family problem what she's done. Im not sure if she's likable or not, i find her pretty boring. She could've be nicer in the film.

And the fifth and final Ranger is Zack Taylor, who's a Black Ranger (played by Ludi Lin). Like Billy, unlike in the show that he's black, here he's an Asian. And also rather than a fighter with dancing style, here he's a bilingual and a school truant for adrenaline. Its also mentioned that he can do a parkour and had a problem life that he lives with his mother who got an ill, which i find it to be pretty cliche of mother in sickness. Although he's not bad, but im not sure if he's likable or not.

For the support, with have Alpha 5 (voiced by Bill Hader, aka Fear from Inside-Out.). Aside from a questionable design in the movie, but he's actually less annoying than the show. He's rather like calm and he can transform for random purposes. I think he's likable in the movie, although he's a bit cheesy, but at least he doesn't get annoying.

Then there's Zordon (surprisingly played by Bryan Cranston, aka Walter White from Breaking Bad). Although he's a former Red Ranger from million years ago, but he's known to be a mentor. Unlike in the show, he's just flat out rude at the Rangers, as if saying "Look teenagers, if you wanna be a Rangers, you have to do a training. Cause you don't, then get you stupid ass out of our ship and jumping off from Vasquez Rocks, you spoiled Fucks!!". I mean Jesus hell man, talk about nearly overreaction at the Rangers! He needs to chill out and respect, or otherwise he'll be unlikable in the movie.

And finally we have a main antagonist, Rita Repulsa (played by Elizabeth Banks). Unlike in the show that she's in the dumpster for 10 years with silly design with cone boobs and an over-the-top obnoxious personality with screechy voice. Here's she's rather dark and pretty damn creepy. Like in the show, she's a power hungry that she wants gold to creating Goldar, especially where she ate a golden objects (Creepy fetish much, Rita?). Although Elizabeth did a nice work, but i can't help but thinking about her concept that she looks like what if she's a sister of Loki from Thor.

The characters are not as great what we expected, but some that i kinda like.

And now for my final opinion of the film.
Overall, the best way to describe this movie, its just bellow average. With time wasting story, some bland characters and the pace is rushed in the first act, but it gets slower and slower in the second act. This is a type of reboot that it needs a few action moments to make it fun and entertaining, but this is just flat out slow and boring that we wanna see the teenagers in Power Rangers. This movie is so wasted that i'd watch either Batman V Superman or a Shitty Ass Ghostbusters 2016! If you guys wanna see this movie, i don't know if you're gonna like it or not. Its just a waste of time and disappointed.

Thats why il rate this movie with 4/10.

Good fucking lord, i though two previous Power Rangers films are bad, but this one is easily a biggest disappointment of childhood. But at least it has a charm then Ghostbusters!!

So this ends of my review, if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let me know at the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading and im Anthony, signing out.

*Review ends*

Anthony: Now im done, i gotta deal at Corporate Driver what he did to this movie!

Zordon: Anthony, calm down. I know you're--

Anthony: I don't care, cause this is my job as a Green Dragon Ranger! *teleports away on the roof*

Alpha 5: Ayayayayayay...!

Zordon: Oh brother...

Anthony: *puts his helmet on and see Megazord fighting against a giant monster* Hmm... I guess i won't bother them for help, but im in revenge of Corporate.

*But then, Corporate Driver flies with his machine called "Mecha-Corp" (Which its giant robot with a disguise of Fighter aircraft F-16)*

Corporate Driver (inside his robot to pilot): *laughs* Looks like you wanna fight with me?! Go ahead, show me what you got!

Anthony: Oh yeah! Il show you my giant robot for you! *picks up his dagger and plays it as a flute to call upon his DragonZord*

DragonZord: *comes out of water and roars*

Anthony: *sees it* Ah yes! there it is! *jumps in the air to going in the giant robot to piloting it* Alright Corporate, lets have a fight!

Corporate Driver: Right!

*Mecha-Corp approaches at DragonZord for punching at it, but got blocked by grabbed by a Green Zord, resulting to use a tail smack on its face, causing Mecha-Corp nearly falls and demolish a building*

Corporate Driver: Argh!!

Anthony: Yes! Take that, money making monster! *does a random quick poses in speech*

Corporate Driver: you want demolish, how about rockets! *press his buttons to blast his rocket missiles at DragonZord*

Anthony: Woah!! *causing DragonZord walks back after getting hit from missiles*

*Meanwhile, MegaZord defeated a monster with a brutal stab with a Mega Power Sword and sees where DragonZord got attacked by Mecha-Corp*

Bryan (Blue Ranger): Oh no, it looks like Anthony is getting assaulted!

*Mecha-Corp punching numerous times at DragonZord, until it uses a charging punch on the torso that DragonZord jumps back and falls on the ground (with more demolish in the city) in front of MegaZord*

Anthony: *groans*

Eric (Red Ranger): Do you need a backup?

Anthony: *gets up* Yes, i think i need it for...   what do you say we can do a extra combination?

Marian (Pink Ranger): What do think of that?

Jackson (Black Ranger): I think it will work.

Zelia (Yellow Ranger): It will be much stronger for us.

Eric: Alright! You ready, Anthony?

Anthony: Right! DragonZord, combining Mega form! *This result that DragonZord goes behind Megazord to do a combining into "Mega DragonZord" and he joins the cockpit of Megazord* Here i am!

Eric: Good to see you, Anthony.

Anthony: Thanks, its time for our epic showdown!

Rangers: Ready, Fire!

MegaZord (in MegaDragonZord form): charges and shoots at Mecha-Corp with big Z ball to destroying it*

Corporate Driver: NOOOOO!!!!! *gets hit by a beam and causes to get destroyed and Corporate has no choice, but escape his robot with his parachute pack*

Anthony: Yes! We finally burn the robot to the ground!

Bryan: Or burn in the air since it can fly.

Anthony: Well, maybe that.

Corporate Driver (with his parachute): *holding a phone that he got argue by Rita for his lost* I tried Rita, i wanted to kill that Candian freak but i failed for-- *get interrupted from Rita that he's considered to out with her* Im no longer with you? Well screw you and goodbye!! *hangs out* Fucking cone tits bitch...!

*Few minutes later*

Zordon: Great work Rangers, you've completed your mission to defeat a monster and even Anthony's nemesis.

Anthony: Np, pal. However, we're not sure if we can stay as a Rangers, we're more likely focus on our own rather than morph into a Rangers.

Zordon: Ok, i guess we'll won't bother you if you guys can morph or perhaps fighting in your version. So come back if you want, Rangers.

Anthony: And maybe i can get a reboot Green Ranger?

Zordon: Im afraid to say, no. Because its only for a girl. So im afraid that you'll no longer become of it.

Anthony: Ok, i guess it makes sense. So, does that mean i can morph into a White Tiger Ranger?

Zordon: Not sure, you'll wait in the future. So thank you Rangers and maybe come again.

*few minutes later when Anthony come back home*

Anthony: Whew, that was a crazy adventure. I guess il take a break for my work. *but interrupted that he sees a delivered box*

Movie Review: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The movie

Notice: This review is not part of story of 2017 reviews. Readers discretion advised.

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to movie review.

As a kid, i remembered seeing Power Rangers in the early millennium. The one that i saw is Power Rangers Time Force, the show where the Rangers is from the future in 3000, that they're dealing with their nemesis named Ransik. I enjoyed it a lot while watching it. But im not sure if il look back since i grew up.

However, Power Rangers wasn't introduced in 2000 when i believed, it was first introduced 1993 known as "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" and it became popular show for kids and adult fans. Even though i never seen the first one, so maybe il buy a DVD of 3 seasons of the show. And yes, the show has 3 seasons until they moved on to "Power Rangers Zeo". But before they moved to Zeo and even "Alien Rangers" (Thats a different story, which il save it for my thoughts about the series.), they decided to be a good idea to cash for making a movie based on the show, which it had a potential we looking for, but as a result, it was rather falls flat...

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a 1995 film that was directed by Bryan Spicer, produced by Haim Saban Shuki Levym and Suzanne Todd and written by Arne Olsen for screenplay and John Kamps Arne Olsen for story.

Like i said, it had a potential for kids that expect to see. I remembered saw it when i was young and i though it was awesome, even though i was disappointed that its one of "Time force", i was always being a dumb idiot kid back then, even though that i never seen the first Power Rangers.

So, with all that said, will this movie will be a great "Morphin time", or is this kind of bad film in the 90's?

Well, lets find out.

The story
It begins where The Rangers (Rocky, Adam, Tanya, Billy, Kimberly and Tommy) went for a skydiving charity along with comedic characters Bulk and Skull. Meanwhile in the construction site, the workers noticed an unidentified object come from the ground when they checked. Not until that in night, out antagonists from the show, Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, Goldar, and Mordant (aka Mr. Pig-face) come to see the object that it was a hand holding an egg, once they open it, we introduced a main antagonist of the film named Ivan Ooze who's been in the egg for 6000 years. (Jeez, thats a long decade when he was like imprisoned?) Once the Rangers comes to dealing against Ooze's minions, it was too like, due to the fact that Ivan went rampage in the Power Rangers's Command Center to stealing their powers and even nearly kill Zordon. When they seen they that their basement is ruined and Zordon is about to die, its up to them to travel in the planet called "Phaedos" to find their powers.

I find the story is pretty cool and interesting written. Even though it feels like a rejected episode, but in movie. I like the concept with Rangers going in other planet, even it may not happen until "Power Rangers In Space" (i think.). But sometimes it takes a bit slow, since it also focus with Ivan's plan for taking over world to manipulating parents to digging in the same construction site that they found debris of armor limbs that Ooze's called "Ecto-Morphicons", its interesting too, but i was more focus to a main story with the Rangers searching their new powers. But im surprised there's no fillers in the movie that i was wondering about Bulk and Skull, but they have a small appearance. Well, there was a subplot where Rita and Zedd was imprisoned by Ooze, its just a shame that they're being a punching bag by Ooze himself.

I find the story is an interesting concept, even though some of the jokes and gags wasn't that good than the show.

The production
Unlike the show that they borrowed the footage from the Japanese show called "Super Sentai" (Again, il get to the later for my thoughts of the series.), here it was all done in America. Its kinda disappointed for the fans of Power Ranger/Super Sentai of this movie. The filming location of construction site, the planet Phaedos and the town of "Angel Grove" has a cool location, even though its the 90 movie with a semi-update of the show. The setting of Command Center looks not bad and Zordon's hologram is interesting, unlike the second film that its just super cheap (Yeah don't worry, il get to that in the near end.). The suit of the rangers looks not bad, they feels like an update from the show costume (since they're done in Japan), it has some texture armor like the shoulder pad, i also like they have some special of their outfit like Yellow Ranger's headlight or Red Ranger's scanner. And the rangers concept from the first season was changed. Which in the first season of the show, it was call upon from a prehistoric creatures like T-Rex, Triceratops, Pterodactyl, Sabertooth Tiger and Mastodon (aka mammoth) and White Tiger. Here, they changed to an animals that i find it ok (Like Red Ape, Blue Wolf, Yellow Bear, Pink Crane, Black Frog and White Falcon), i expect to pick a good choice based on creatures. As for concept for the enemies, they're good, Ooze's minions are typical, but look interesting, Tengu is a humanoid birds, but they look pretty cool, the four guardians looks badass with creatures in medieval armors, in fact, they should brought them back in the show, but it doesn't matter that they're only in the movie. Not to mention, some of the writing is either questionable, or written by a six year old who's trying way to hard for something similar from thw show, especially with some culture reference.
Effect is although its not bad, but in the final act is easily the worst, its mainly because as i said before, they don't even do similar of Super Sentai, it was done with a cheapest CGI i've ever seen. I know its from the mid-90's but wow... And the Megazord in this movie is probably the worst form i've ever seen, not just a CGI, but a design. But at least in the later season of the show, Japan did redesign(?) the Megazord to make it better than the movie version. And Ivan Ooze's fusion with Ecto-Morphicons is also ugly for the look, cheap texture and...   Well, probably the worst final form of Ooze. I have never seen about this movie has one the cheapest CGI film, but i did in my childhood. I mean, i've seen worse CGI effect than this.

Although it looks good, but it doesn't saved from a crappy computer image...

The characters
Im pretty sure you're familiar with the old casts of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", like there's Jason, Zack, Trini, Billy, Kimberly and Tommy. But since this movie takes place around in the second season of the show, Jason, Zack and Trini left the show for the actors contract, which they'll be replaced by a new members such as Rocky, Adam and Aisha.

If you ever watch the second season, you may familiar for these rangers, Rocky is an energetic athlete Red Ranger, Billy is a smart Blue Ranger, Kimberly is a lovely Pink Ranger, Aisha is free spirited Yellow Ranger, Adam is sensitive and calm Black Ranger and Tommy is considered a legendary Ranger over the decades as Green, White, Red Zeo/Turbo and Black Dino Ranger. And there's two other characters like Alpha 5 who's a robot to calling the Rangers and Zordon who's a mentor of the Rangers to give them an objective to save the world. Not to mention, they reprised their roles (some of them for voice acting) during between second and third season.

For the villain, im sure some of you knows about the villains, like Rita Repulsa is an evil with-alien with cone boobs that she's been over 10,000 years of confinement in the dumpster, Lord Zedd is rita's superior and love interest (Which i find Zedd is pretty damn cool) and Goldar who's a memorable side villain of the show.

In this movie, we have Ivan Ooze (played by Paul Freeman), he's easily to be one of villain that we're glad that he's not in the show. He's one of bad guy who's been a long years before coming back, but he was been from  6000 years, which is a lot shorter than Rita's prison. His evil mission is rather a bit boring, i kinda like he creating his advertisement for kids, but turns out that it can possesses every parents to searching every metal limbs for Ecto-Morphicons to taking over the world, but sometimes when its done, he also let them die. Talk about the most generic villain's movement in the movie. But the sad thing is that he imprisoned Rita and Lord Zedd, which he let Goldar and "Mr. Pig-face" live with Ivan, since they're the main antagonists of the show, they could've make more appearance of this movie, but they ended up turning into Ivan's punching bag of humiliation.

And finally there's Dulcea (played by Gabrielle Fitzpatrick), who's a Master Warrior of Pheados. She's basically a new mentor of the Rangers in other planet, especially she gives them a small power called "Ninjetti", which its more likely give them a ninja outfit and animal spirits, even though the animal spirit Zords is whether we like or not, which we always like the original Zords based on extinct creatures. To be fair, i find that she's not only beautiful, but kinda likable. Even though at first she started being a bit rude to the Rangers, but learned about their problems for their lack of power. But the downside she has like a small personality and even small appearance.

As for the rest like Bulk and Skull, and a kid Fred Kelman? Although Bulk and Skull are also been in the show, but too bad they couldn't make more appearance. and Fred, don't bother him, cause he's just rather a generic kid who needs to save every parents with tiny personality. I mean we wanna see Power Rangers, not a cheap kid hero movie.

Although the characters may or may not be interesting in the movie, but some of them is ended up overshadowed.

And now for my final opinion of the film.
Overall, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The movie is a film that the best way to describe it, it was rather disappointed with silly factor like Super Mario Bros movie. But the story is not bad, the characters are kinda above average and the production is mixed. Like i said, some characters of the show ended up threw away to focus more about Ivan Ooze or probably The Rangers searching of "The Great Power". But the final act is the worst with an ugly CGI effect i've ever seen, but again its a mid-90's budget film, but good lord, it made me wanna puke. The best way after see this movie, just stick to the show, at least they're a lot fun for the actions and stuff.

So, il rate this movie 4/10.

And btw, you're wondering my thought of "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie"? Just ignore it, ever since i saw it in Nostalgia Critic, i knew this one is even worse than before. I know it took place between Zeo and Turbo, but good lord, its probably a worst prequel of "Power Rangers Turbo" i've ever watched.

Well, we have another Power Rangers movie coming out already which i hope it will be more interesting and without botching like two movies got.

So this ends of my movie review, if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let me know at the comment bellow.

Thanks for reading and im Anthony, signing out.

*Few hours later*

Anthony: Man... 2 hours movie for expanding song and extra plot...?  That was...  good?

Hey everyone, my name is Anthony and welcome back to movie review.

Last year, i talked about "The Jungle Book 2016", which it was mixed faithful from the book and the original film and it was a fantastic film. So then Disney decided to make yet another live-action remake, this time with the one from Disney Renaissance's classic in 1991, Beauty and the Beast. This is the second Disney princess film during "Renaissance era" after "The little mermaid" and it was yet another great film with great reviews and good box-office.

And before you ask, no, i never seen this movie in my childhood, mainly because this film is for girls. Although it didn't happen until i watched it on TV from a few weeks ago before the remake and i gotta say, it was pretty good one, its no wonder why it was successful. Especially they dedicated to a lyricist named Howard Ashman, which he sadly passed away from aids before the film's release.  After over 25 years (specifically 26.), as i said before, they decided to brought back in live-action remake that we expect to be another good remake.

Beauty and Beast 2017 is a remake fairy-tale film that was directed by Bill Condon, produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman and written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos for screenplay.

At first, when the trailer shown, we have a mixed to positive opinion that we expecting to be promising after "Cinderella", which is rather disappointed. Even though some people appreciated that they brought back some songs from the original film, and others are not as exciting for the production. Whether you're excited or not for anticipation. And after all, this movie was based on French fairy-tale by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumon.

So, with all that said, will this movie holds up for a good remake like "The jungle Book", or is this film that its not was good comeback since Cinderella?

Well, lets find out.

The story
Im sure you ever heard the story of this French fairy-tale. It began with a prince who's selfish and vain that he lives in the castle in ballroom. But not before he encountered an old lady to give a rose to him as a gift, but he refused everytimes. Because of that, an elder lady was actually an enchantress in disguise that she punished him by turning into vicious creature that it was simply referred as "The Beast". He lives in his castle all alone (except for living objects) and angered from the curse. Which it tells that he found a love, he'll be free as a human, if not, he'll live in a scary creature forever. Later on, we introduced to Belle, a young beautiful and bibliophile girl who lives with her inventor father named Maurice. Once she takes a read of her book, she meets Gaston, who's an arrogant and narcissist former soldier that he wants to marry with her, but of course, she refuses for how bad he is. But in one day, her father was lost and taken in prison on the castle that she has to find him. Once she founds her, but ended get risked from the Beast for not only also in prison, but also let her father free. So its up to her for cheer up to The beast for being positive and Beast has to except her for a love to breaking a curse.

Like i said, this is a remake of the animated version and an adaptation from the French fairy-tale about a girl who falls in love with a creature for peace and breaking the curse. Unlike the animated one, this film was expanded for for extra development, like for example, if you've seen the animated version, you probably don't know what happen to her mother, it didn't happen until we have here. But my problem is that they include the scene where Maurice talked to Gaston about where he was lost in the dark forest and visited in the castle then later being punished by Gaston. Its like we've seen that before, there's no reason to show it two times, i mean that moment is an obvious filler that it has nothing to do with the main plot. Plus there's even an elder woman in the movie that she appeared in the second act, like i don't how did she appeared in the movie, which i think its another filler, it may or may not happen til the final act, but i won't tell it for spoilers. Not to mention, the movie was nearly focused more about the relationship between Bell and Beast, which im pretty sure they add an extra development for their pasts and sometimes personalities, which im fine for that. As for the gags, they're rather hidden and miss, i did chuckle for a few moment, but some of them that i was like silent.

The story is pretty much like before, but with expansion. Even though they add a filler that made a risky movement.

The production
Since this is a live-action remake film, i find the production of this movie looks pretty cool. The costumes, the location and the filming location is well done. Even though that i know that its like an updated version of the animated film. The items to life character designs looks interesting, although Cogsworth, Mrs. Pott and Chip look a bit similar of the animated version, but some others like Lumiere, Madame de Garderobe and even Plumette (Who's supposed to be Fifi.) have their different design, its as if they're trying not to be bad and cheap, which im fine for that, especially with Plumette, she looks pretty cute. But the one that i have a nitpick is the look of The Beast. Unlike the animated version that he looks cool and kinda creepy, they made him look like goat-man thingy. Which his look is rather disappointed in my opinion, but i can say he looks ok, but disappointed. As for the songs, they brought the original songs back and i can say, they're pretty good and nice to be back. Not to mention, they even made a new song in the movie, but they're rather mixed, i like one song when The Beast let Belle free, which i find it beautiful and pretty sad for his decision. And others, not so much.

Although the production is pretty good, but sometimes they could've make something good like The Beast and some songs make a good meaning and less short.

The characters
If you've seen the animated version, im sure some of you are familiar with the characters. Well in this film, some of them have either updated or changed. If for those you never heard, il explain who they are and sharing my thoughts.

First is our main princess herself, Belle (played by Emma Watson, aka Hermione Granger from Harry Potter movies.). As always, she's a young, bueaitufl girl who likes reading books and perhaps helping anyone for the advice. Even though she may not my fav, but i find her fascinating. Not to mention, i fins Emma's role of Belle fit perfectly, especially she said that she wanted to play as a main princess in this movie. not to mention, i find that she  did a good effort for singing, since she was helped by Paige O'Hara (the sing of Belle from the first and second films.). Emma did a great job as Belle and she's a talented actress since i remembered her. So...  is it Oscar worthy of her?

Next we have The Beast (played by Dan Stevens). At first, he started as an egotistic prince what he like, until he turned into an angered beast from the curse. Its not easy to feel sorry for him, cause of his arrogance attitude. Even though he's started being a rude prince until he gets better in later act in the movie. Personally, im pretty he's kinda like in animated version, despite of my complaint of his design, but he has a sense of humor, since he felt in love with her, which im fine for that. Although i never heard of Dan, i think he did an interesting role of The Beast.

Then we have Gaston (played by Luke Evans), at first he's started as a good guy, but in reality, he's much as a bad guy, mainly because he is arrogant and narcissist hunter. He's one of the character that you love to hate. Especially when he wanted to marry with Belle. I find him to be an interesting bad guy, since he's considered handsome and likable in the village. Talk about one hunter who doesn't give a F***. Plus, i think Luke fits well to playing as a former soldier.

Next there's Maurice (played by Kevin Kline), he's an eccentric, noble and rather over-protective of Belle. I find him not bad, since he's known to be an inventor to creating a Rube Goldberg of cutting trees in animated movie. Here, im pretty sure he invented a music box based on the paint. Although Kline did a nice work of his role and...   not much else to say.

As for the living objects, they're probably likable in the movie, but expect for some. Lumiere (played by Ewan McGregor, aka Obi-Wan from Star Wars) is a lovable butler, Cogsworth (played by Ian McKellen, aka Magneto from X-men movies.) is a loyal majordomo and household staff, Mrs. Potts (played by Emma Thompson) who's a motherly head of kitchen along with her kid name Chip (played by Nathan Mack), Plumette (again, who's supposed to be Fif and played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw) who's a gutsy wind maid and Lumiere's love interest and Madame de Garderobe (played by Audra McDonald) who's an opera with clothes.  There's one character Maestro Cadenza (played by Stanley Tucci), which all i know, he's a character who didn't appeared in the animated, he's one character that made me wanna go "meh".

But here's one character that im sure you know whats going on, we have LeFou (played by Josh Gad), he's a bumbling, flamboyant and suffered sidekick of Gaston, despite he helps him for his ego. From before, he's a comic relief that he was being abused by Gaston, however in the movie, he didn't get abused a lot in the movie, he's just there to helping Gaston. Unfortunately, this character was suffered a controversy that he's portray as a gay stereotype that he's considered as a friend of Gaston during a song sequence. As a result, this movie was banned in Russia and Alabama theater, because they hate gay persona. In Malaysia, they called out for editing off the gay moment in the movie. That when i heard, i was pissed off, like there's no reason to ban or censored the "gay moment" if we like to support homosexuality. I mean, i am bisexual and i've got nothing wrong for my life or even the movie itself. I don't care anything about your complaint, sensitive freaks (Russians, Malaysians and people in Alabama). Cause all you do is complain of nothing but a sensitive argument of anti-homosexual moment! Cause you have no reason to editing or banning for that!!

*meanwhile in CD headquarter*

Corporate Driver: *laughing out loud* Oh my god that was great! This poor little freak is reaching his limit of cringe! Because i considered that all these queers are bunch of stupidity! Like seriously, i don't wanna hang out with all those people in relationship with same-sex or whatever, they're disgusting and cancerous.

Secretary Driver: *snickers* Yeah, im with you, sir.

Corporate Driver: That was great, It was great. But im not done yet...

Secretary Driver: Hm?

Corporate Driver: I've got a new plan to taking over his land with one person. So, catch ya later. *teleports away*

Secretary Driver: Um... Aren't am i supposed to work with him or not?

*back to review*

*take a deep breath*   Oh my god...  I hate how everyone take a sensitive movement of anti-homosexuality, especially with Youtube...  What a S****y world...  I better moving on to my final opinion before getting my head explode...
Overall, the 2017 Beauty and Beast is not an average movie, i think its rather pretty pretty good, even though it almost feel like the animated version, the production is great and the characters are interesting, except for some. Even though it feels like an expansion of the animated film, but with extra songs that are good or not, The Beat's design is slightly weak in my opinion and a waste of time with filler. If you like Beauty and the Beast, you can give a shot to see it, if not, i think you should stick to the animated version. Its actually better than Cinderella for me, but its not as perfect than The Jungle Book. Even though the movie was suffered a controversy that it made me exploded.

So, il rate this movie a 7/10.

So this ends of my movie review, if you have your opinion or any suggestions, let me know at the comment bellow.
